Homeowners in Good Thunder, MN worked with System Design Specialist Rob Larson to find a permanent solution to their foundation issues. It's common for block foundations to bow over time, and it is important to correct this issue to prevent serious long-term effects. Crew Leader Rodney Pfarr and his team installed PowerBraces, foundation wall braces that actually move back walls to their original state, keeping the home safe and secure for life.
Our customer contacted Complete Basement Systems after a home inspection was done on her home regarding the foundation wall bowing. Our system design specialist designed a solution to prevent future wall movement.
This home had both bowing walls and a leaky basement. We installed PowerBraces and a WaterGuard system to help keep the water out and make sure the walls don't continue to bow out even further.
Our previous customer in Mankato contacted Complete Basement Systems to address a cracked foundation wall in their basement. We had installed the PowerBrace wall system on a different wall years ago and over time hydrostatic pressure builds and causes pressure on walls.
This customer recently contacted us about the bowing walls in their newly purchased home. They noticed visible cracks and movement of their walls, which raised concerns about the structural integrity of their property. Our System Design Specialist recommended our innovative PowerBrace Wall Support System. To begin the process, our installation team first installed our top-of-the-line CleanSpace Wall System. This remarkable system consists of a bright, clean, and durable vapor barrier specifically designed for basement walls. It is a thick liner that is securely installed with drilled-in fasteners, that effectively covers any uneven or bumpy walls. Not only does it provide an economical solution to conceal unsightly walls, but it also prevents water vapor from seeping through and redirects any wall leaks into our WaterGuard Drain System. The highlight of our solution is the PowerBrace beam system, which we installed to permanently stabilize the foundation walls. These steel beams can be adjusted and tightened over time, effectively halting any further inward movement of the walls. In fact, they have the potential to reverse the effects of wall failure without the need for invasive drilling or digging. Our customer can rest assured that our system will not only address the current concerns with his bowing walls but also ensure the long-term structural integrity of the home.
