Challenge
Our customer in Eagle Lake, MN had dirt crawl space underneath his home. Floors above were colder and noticed odors and insects throughout the living space of the home.
Exposed earth adds a continuous stream of water vapor into your home. The earth is damp and as that damp soil dries into the house, the water vapors move upward into the house.
Our customer contacted Complete Basement System online to inquire with a professional on how to solve their crawl space problems.
Solution
After a FREE no obligation with our system design specialist Nick Barke, we were ready to transform this dirt crawl space into a nice CLEAN crawl space.
First we installed a drainage matting on top of the dirt floor in the crawl space. A dimpled polyethylene membrane under the CleanSpace liner allows water to flow to a sump in a crawl space.
Second we install the CleanSpace liner along the floor and walls in the crawl space. CleanSpace is a heavy 20 mil-thick-liner like a pool liner. The white finish really brightens your crawl space and allows you to easily see that your crawl space is free from mold, insects and dirt. The CleanSpace is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called "UltraFresh" molded right into the material.
CleanSpace Liner has a 25 year warranty against any rips/tears and only with Complete Basement Systems comes with an additional nationally backed warranty.
