Perimeter Protection
WaterGuard was placed in the sub-floor to catch seeping water from the walls and floor. Cement was applied to the floor areas excavated for the WaterGuard installation, but the evidence of the work will not be as visible once the cement is dry. The walls are also protected from top to bottom to catch any wall seepage at any entry point and will channel to the sub-floor system. A SuperSump pump system was installed to pump any water flow outside away from the home.
Exterior waterproofing
An IceGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line. This is a special attachment that helps prevent basement flooding by allowing water to pump if the discharge line freezes or becomes blocked.
