Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Fairfax Renovation

Fairfax homeowners were looking for some answers after noticing that their basement walls seem to have been caving in. They worked with System Design Specialist Ryan Powell to evaluate the basement foundation, and then designed a system to ensure that their home's foundation is safe, and that the basement will stay dry for the life of the home!

Jackhammer Work

After preparing the space for the project, the crew removed concrete from the perimeter of the basement in order to install the waterproofing system.

Preparing for Waterproofing

The crew jackhammered a section around the perimeter of the basement to install the waterproofing system.

PowerBrace Work

The PowerBrace wall bracing system works to support and reposition the basement foundation over time.

PowerBrace Base

The base of the PowerBrace wall bracing system is securely fastened to the floor of the basement.

PowerBrace Installation

After installing the CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, the crew installed the PowerBrace wall bracing system to protect the home's foundation.

Sump Pump Installation

After removing concrete from the perimeter of the space, the crew installed the sump basket.

System Integration

The crew worked to fully integrate the PowerBraces, WaterGuard, and CleanSpace.

WaterGuard Installation

Once the jackhammering was complete, the crew installed the WaterGuard waterproofing system, which will work to collect all moisture from the space and deliver it to the sump pump.

Installation in Progress

After installing the WaterGuard waterproofing system around the perimeter of the space, the crew placed small pebbles atop the system. This will work to prevent debris from getting into the system.

Waterproofing Work

The crew tied in the WaterGuard waterproofing system with the sump pump.

SuperSump

The SuperSump sump pump was installed, and will work to remove all water from the space.

CleanSpace Installation

Our patented CleanSpace wall vapor barrier was installed to keep moisture from entering the home through the block foundation.

Ready for Concrete

The crew prepared the space for final concrete work.

CleanSpace Integration

The crew ensured that the CleanSpace wall vapor barrier tied into the waterproofing system so that the sump pump can remove all moisture from the space.

Ready for Final Touches

After installing the system, the crew was ready to replace concrete over the system.

Once the installation was complete, Crew Leader Rodney Pfarr walked the homeowners through the basement and explained the system so that they are fully comfortable and confident with how it works.
