Drying Out A Partially Finished Basement in Brooten, MN
Challenge
As a homeowner, it can be difficult to see if water is causing damage in your finished basement. Flooring and sheetrock can mask the first stages of water intrusion. Damp or humid air, staining or blistering on wall surfaces, or musty/mildewy odors can mean there is water intrusion doing damage behind the sheetrock or under the laminate floors. Our Design Specialist found evidence of water damage on the baseboards and door frames. This homeowner was using multiple fans, running an over-the-counter dehumidifier, and had containers of Damp-Rid throughout her basement to try to stay on top of it. But we wanted to prevent instead of treat the water issue.
Solution
