Michael & Linda contacted Complete Basement Systems because their lake home that was completely finished has been getting water for the past few years with heavy rain fall and snow melting and wanted it fixed for good.
Solution
Michael & Linda chose Complete Basement Systems after searching for solutions online. They saw the work we've done in the area and read that we were a local contractor that specializes in basement waterproofing.
Our system design specialist met with the homeowners and designed a permanent solution to keep their whole basement dry all the time. It was evident water was entering at the base of the floor and wall area and that noticeable wall movement had occurred from hydrostatic pressure, causing the wall to shift.
The scope of work involved installing a perimeter waterproofing system using WaterGuard to collect any ground water that would enter up through the floor and wall joint. The water coming into the basement would collect in the WaterGuard and drain into the SuperSump Plus basket installed with a battery operated back up in the event of a power failure. It is also important to them to keep the walls from moisture, so a CleanSpace Wall System was installed to prevent walls from water leaking through to any future finished walls.
New Windows were also updated to add a nice, clean and brighter look to the basement.
