New Homeowner's of a home with an uninsulated crawl space beneath their home noticed it to be much colder on the floors in the living space above. Looking for a contractor who specialized in crawl spaces, they took to the internet and found Complete Basement Systems. We scheduled a free estimate for the homeowners and they met with our system design specialist to address the concerns with the crawl space. We showed them what affects a dirt crawl space has on the health of their home and how the CleanSpace Encapsulation System protects them from the odors, mold and vapor transmission from the dirt soil to prvent all of those things. Overall, customers are beyond happy with the results of how much the crawl space has transformed their home after the installation of Thermax insulation on their walls and the CleanSpace Liner along the dirt floor of the crawl space. A new SmartSump was installed to drain the water coming into the crawl space from below and designed a discharge line outside.

Dirty, Dark and Nasty Crawl Space Before

Our customers plastic existing in the crawl space was not very effective in protecting the home from the earth below their home. Also very noticeable wet block walls are a visible sign of past water intrusion.

Waterproof Drainage Matting & Insulation Installed

CleanSpace Drainage Matting works in a crawl space to channel any water intrusion and installed on top of the dirt floor. The block walls are insulated with Thermax insulating panels, which will keep the crawl space from being so cold, which will not affect the home above the crawl space from being cold any longer.

CleanSpace Liner Installed

CleanSpace Liner is a 20 mil thick plastic liner (like a pool liner) very tough to even tear. The CleanSpace is installed on top of the Drainage Matting. Homeowner's now have a more comfortable crawl space, which can also be used for added storage space.

Crawl Space Sump Pump System Installed

Our SmartSump Pump System will collect any crawl space ground waters and drain and pump out of the SmartSump Pump System installed.

Sump Pump Discharge Line

Our IceGuard is connected to the discharge pipe that collects the water pumped from the SmartSump. The IceGuard prevents freeze ups in the winter months, and allows the sump pump to pump water year round. No need to disconnect anything.
