Prepping the Space
Before getting to work, the crew used plastic to protect the flooring leading outside, as well as to cover the belongings in the basement.
Moisture Symptoms
Unfortunately, we see this moisture problem too often. After time, moisture works its way into basement spaces through the block foundation, causing damage to the homes and families' health when left unresolved.
Jackhammer Work
The crew worked to remove the concrete around the perimeter of the basement space with the jackhammer. All rubble is removed by hand using buckets.
Hard at Work
The crew worked diligently to prepare the space for the waterproofing system.
Creating Weep Holes
The crew added weep holes along the base of the foundation. This allows a clean path for water to travel directly to the waterproofing system so that it can be removed from the home.
Ready for Waterproofing
Once concrete has been removed from the perimeter of the space, and the crew has removed all rubble, they prep the space to install the waterproofing system.
Installation in Progress
Once the crew installed the waterproofing system, they placed small rocks on top of the system prior to pouring concrete over the top. This helps to protect the system from getting clogged with debris.
Installation in Progress
Once the jackhammering was complete, the crew installed the WaterGuard waterproofing system and InSoFast wall vapor barrier, both of which will work together to keep the basement dry all the time.
Ready for Finishing
After installing the InSoFast and replacing the concrete over top of the waterproofing system, the space is now ready to be refinished.
Sump Pump Installation
The crew installed our patented SingleSafe sump pump system. This sump pump will collect and remove all water from the home, and is fully encapsulated to keep any moisture or gases from entering the basement space.
